Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm i Stockholm — Döbelnsgatan 17

Very nice hotel! Sauna and fantastic gym included. Breakfast was also great and included. Good location too. Super friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed in a newly renovated room (I assume by the pictures on maps) which were good at the pricepoint.

4.5 stars. helpful staff. nice room. ok sleep. sauna. large gym. extensive. two floors. breakfast is widely accessed and ok. soap is unfortunately not good, horrible fragrance imo. please change. snack sortiment in reception is not strong but they do have random gifts there and some touch screen gloves. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel, and I especially want to thank Bakari at the front desk. He was incredibly cordial and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He went out of his way to help us decide what to do in the city, provided clear information about the hotel, and even arranged for an early check-in—which helped us immensely as we are traveling with a baby. His kindness and helpfulness made our stay so much smoother, and we truly appreciate the excellent service he provided.

Pros: Hotel has a great location. Breakfast was good. Rooms vere clean. Great gym, actually the best I seen on a hotel. Cons: Old rooms with carpet. The beds are cheap and not comfortable. Very dark rooms. Walls very very dirty.

Arrived at 00:41 on Monday night. The front door was closed, no receptionist on duty. A sign on the door stated to call a local (swedish) number. I tried calling about 10 times and was not getting an answer. I tried 2 different applications to dial but probably the number listed is not the right one. Tried to find a different number from their site. The site was coming up on Swedish, so when I asked for the English page, I was redirected to the global Best Western site which had no relation to what I was looking for. Finally, from the Swedish site I found a "contact" link which invoked the dialer on my phone. 1 min later a receptionist appeared and let me in. Total of 15 minutes waiting on the front door. A simple doorbell button would have saved everybody a ton of frustration. Then, I go to my room. There is no telephone appliance in there. And no sign about the wifi password. Just a note saying that "to contact reception plz visit www.komhotel.se". And on the instructions that I had to download, it stated " the wifi password is on the key chain". Needless to say that there was nothing on the key folder....next morning I asked for the password and I got a new key folder with password printed on top of it. A simple qr code in every room would have allowed any guest to connect to the wifi and the reception and save tons of frustration. The room has no refrigerator. I understand that Stockholm weather gets freezing but still a refrigerator is much needed in any weather.
