Living here for five months was a rollercoaster. Shortly after moving in, me together with all other residents were notified moving out would be mandatory some time soon, with behind-the-scenes uncertainty about the building lease. Rocky months followed with mixed messages and shallow promises from Allihoop. These uncertain times really impacted the vibe. But even if this hadn’t happened, living in Allihoop Bromma was in some ways a disappointment. The building is old and in a poor state. The rooms are noisy, due to the busy parking lot and bus/metro station right next to it as well as the noise from fellow residents and common rooms. The shared amenities look nicer in the pictures than they are in real life, for example the sauna and showers were incredibly dirty. The heating did not work at all (imagine in Swedish winter). The residents were not selected in line with what the website seemed to promise, resulting in living in an exchange student party with people who stack their dirty pans and dishes in the sink. The team is friendly, helpful and works hard to make up for all the downsides, but you can not fix something that is flawed from the core. The prices are high. It feels like Allihoop profits from a difficult housing market and desperate internationals. The move-out process was stressful and deposit return was not smooth, even though we left the room spotless. I have to admit that I had a nice time, met nice people, enjoyed the shared amenities, and applaud the team how quick they were to resolve daily issues, like a broken curtain or washing machine. Sharing the rent with a partner made the rent more affordable. But I would not recommend Allihoop to my friends, if they do not tend to big renovations and reflect how their can realise what they promise.
Started out as a promising stay. But for the quality of furnishing and age of rooms, the price was always too high. I also had a bad location for the room, just opposite a trash room, something I couldn’t choose. There were endless repairs going on which made it impossible to work or focus on anything at times and this continued throughout the few years I lived there and never fully disappeared. Like several others have commented the move out process was extremely stressful. I didn’t find the reasoning or photos convincing and they also didn’t return the deposits within the time they promised. Had to email multiple times. When you move in be sure to extensively document every little mark or spot in the apartment, and there indeed were several on this antiquated building. Even if you do you risk being charged for them but you at least have space for argument. Don’t pay too much attention to the facilities promised like the cinema and gym as they are by no means comparable to real facilities and mostly to justify the rent. Also the drainage in this building is terrible with awful odour coming off the outlets if you are away for a bit and apparently can’t be fixed without a full renovation.
2,5/5 I lived at Allihoop for several months and honestly, the community experience was amazing — great people, fun events, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. I truly appreciated that part and met wonderful friends there. However, the move-out process was extremely disappointing. I was charged almost 30% of my deposit (around 300€) for very minor issues I.e a small mattress stain, a missing bowl, and some additional cleaning. I completely understand paying a fair cleaning fee, but these deductions were excessive and not proportional to the actual condition of the studio. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of transparency and how business-oriented the management has become. Having previously been as a community builder myself, I know how important trust and fairness are in maintaining a healthy community. Unfortunately, that sense of openness and care has really faded, and the way deposit deductions are handled feels more like a profit exercise than genuine maintenance. It’s a shame, because the concept and the people are fantastic — but the management practices and unclear policies take away from what could otherwise be a truly 5-star experience. I really hope Allihoop reconsiders its priorities and reconnects with its community values !
Good coworking, gym and a room, with very friendly staff for the price, but it doesn’t feel like home at all. The internal culture is very weak. Only a few people make an effort for the house(and I admire them), many leave the kitchen dirty and see the house as something temporal. Most people stick to their own groups, usually split by nationality or university. There is some diversity, but inclusivity is only emerging. The worst part: surveillance cameras everywhere to catch who leaves a mess and fine them :) like a high school. Overall, I don’t regret trying, but this place could be much better if residents were selected more carefully and a more welcoming and inclusive culture was established.
Amazing people. Good concept. Friendly staff. Below par communication and processes. The living experience at AH was awesome. I met amazing people and even the staff that worked in the offices were friendly and kind. Some people like Sam and Elis were some of the friendliest people you'd know! The issue I am raising is with regards to the processes and procedures in place. For context - I gave three months' notice before moving out and left the apartment in perfect condition with no issues whatsoever. Initially, I was promised that my deposit would be returned within 20 days. However, after moving out, they suddenly raised issues about alleged missed payments and other excuses, which only served to delay the refund process. After 26 days, they finally stated that the deposit would be sent, and on the 28th day I received a notification that I’d get the deposit back within 10 days. This constant back-and-forth left me in a state of uncertainty and completely derailed my financial plans. There are process improvements that can be done which could help with such situations and I strongly urge Allihoop to pursue them. You have a wonderful concept in place. But, the outbounds are more important than the inbounds. Thanks.
