Långholmens Wärdshus i Södermalm — Alstaviksvägen 17

Good food, well presented and varied, classic Swedish with no thrills. Västerbottenpaj needs to get better (tasteless, cold). Only part of the staff appears friendly and well trained.

Very nice and fancy looking restaurant in the super interesting building - former prison. Nice staff and welcoming atmosphere from the beginning. Big plus for bread and small salad as a waiting-for-your-order dish. We ordered fried brisket and vegan lentil curry. Dishes were ok, nothing crazy good or bad, there was not "wow" effect and cauliflower in the curry to hard for my taste. Place worth to visit in package with hotel, museum and island itself.

I was incredibly suprised by this restaurant. After dropping my bags off at the hotel nextdoor, I decided to check the prices here to see if it made sense for lunch. And yes, it was indeed. I was able to get the lunch speial (almost missed the time!), and it was very good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the fish was flavorful and juicy. The portion was enormous, but it also wasn’t a scam. Before your meal, you are given a salad and bread to help you during your wait. I was able to get several of these salads (and bread), which was a great touch. Unfortunately, I had to sit near the bar, because the entire restaurant was packed. Not a single space. As a result, my service was a little diminished, but it was still was much better than other restaurants I have visited.

Really good food and fast service! I would say it has Swedish food on menu, portions are good sized and interesting looking. It is in old prison building so you get historical wibe as well. We had a dinner on Thursday and restaurant was not full.

Went here for Valentine's day dinner and it's a really cozy place. Staff was friendly but one of them was a bit odd but still we had a lovely time. Food was great and at the end they handed a rose to my girlfriend and the bill to me, that's quality. They do brunch too which I would like to try. The location is beautiful and you can easily walk to both Södermalm and Kungsholmen after reading here.
