Gorgeous Church - with two iconic towers which can be seen from almost every single part of the city

Not as elaborate as some of the Catholic churches further South, but it is still an impressive church. It is very large, and mostly unadorned on the inside. The organ is quite impressive, but the surrounding walls and ceilings are white plaster. One of the sections on the left side of the church is the baptistry. All the walls here are painted with beautiful detail. The gardens surrounding the church are worth the walk, and provide a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy nature.

The church was designed by architect Ivar Tengbom, who also has designed Stockholm Concert Hall. The church overlooks Stockholm from its height on Söder (South), but is beginning to feel the pain of age. After almost 100 years, in the spring of 2021 it's time for renovation that will last for 1.5 years.

Impressive hilltop structure. Don't be put off by the scaffolding on the spires. You can still enter the church through the end without spires. Seems the spires are placed differently--on the altar end of the church--than on other churches. I wonder why.

A very beautiful church with two big tower in the front. Well connected with public transport . Nearest Metro (Hornstull) is a few meters. You may even walk nearby bustop or metro quite easily with baby stroller. you may even walk for 13 minutes from Skinnarviksberget (another tourist spot). Recommended time 30 minutes
