Vilket ställe!!
Great location only a short walk from Old Town, and despite the cold weather this week (-10°c) the property was well heated and cozy. Super comfortable beds and one of the only apartments I have stayed in that provide a microwave/oven. Would definitely recommend to couples travelling :)
This is an excellent set of apartments in a very convenient location in Stockholm centre, with a short walk to the Old Town and is located near Metro stations. The room is a very nice size, with very comfortable decorations and furnishings. Kitchen was well stocked and nice to use. Fridge and stovetop clean and working well. Bathroom very clean and nice looking. Easy to find, and excellent communication from the host. A very nice stay, with a hard to beat quality to price ratio.
Gulgränd 5 is an apartment hotel, conveniently located at the edge of Slussen, with easy access to T-bana, bus services and numerous shops, restaurants and bars. It is a short and pleasant walk to Gamla Stan and not much further to the city centre. The building does not have a lift. There was no on-site receptionist or manager, though telephone communication for inquiries or assistance seemed reliable. During our stay, we encountered difficulties with the entrance code to our apartment. The nine-figure code never functioned properly, and required multiple attempts before granting access—a significant annoyance for us. The apartment was well heated and warm on even the coldest days. Furnishing and fittings were adequate, though not up to first-class standard. The apartment was clean when we arrived. However, during our nine-day stay, no further cleaning was provided, nor were the bed linen or towels replaced. We discovered that these were optional extras and incurred additional charges—an outrageous piece of drip pricing. Both washing machines in the common laundry were out of service and remained unusable for at least five days. The hotel was converted from a much older building, which resulted in an awkward layout for our apartment. The kitchen and dining area was crammed into what seemed to have been a short hallway. The kitchen area was too small to be used for anything except the simplest food preparation, and storage was inadequate. There was a good microwave oven, but no dishwasher. Meals at the small dining table were a squeeze. There are good things about this hotel, and you could certainly do worse, but overall, we do not recommend it. In fairness, we should say that we stayed here six years ago and have better memories of the (different) apartment that we had on that occasion.
I was here in April during a 12 day vacation and I enjoyed my stay very much. The apartments are cozy with muted colors and you have everything you need for a comfortable stay(well equipped kitchen, extra blanket, toiletries, towels, hair dryer) It can get a bit noisy depending on who the other guests are but in itself it was a relaxing and quiet experience for me, and my host was super attentive and informative. The location is also good. I don’t mind walking, and you can find yourself wherever you want in the rest of the city, by foot or metro, which is a couple of minutes from the place. There is a good local restaurant just around the corner when you go up the ramp from the entrance. If you need a supermarket, it’s a bit of a walk uphill (around 15min walk) but you can stroll through the vibrant and lively streets of Old town, and this whole part of Stockholm is a must see!
